Winter Solstace & Lunar Eclipse
Be sure to catch the Lunar Eclipse tonight at 1:32am! This odd spectacle where the earth’s shadow covers the moon for a brief time is rare, but even more rarely does it occur on the shortest day of the year! The last time these events coincided was 1638. The next will be 1994!
Dr. Scott Cairns of Sea Cliff, professor of philosophy will be leading a class tonight to study and celebrate the event.
Update: Read about our Lunar Eclipse on the North Fork Patch.
