Are you having problems emailing Printstars?
Over the course of the last month or so, I have heard from a handful people who were trying to email us and couldn’t because their emails were returned. This email problem may be happening in more cases that I know about, so I wanted to publish a broad message that we are still here, offering the same great turn around times and print quality as we always have.
What to do if you have an email problem
From all signs we can point to, we are still receiving most of our email. The problem seems sporadic or limited to random clients, even those individuals within larger organizations where everyone else at the company can still email us. If you are one of those unlucky few, please follow these steps to help us isolate the prolem:
- Call us! – We can help, but only if we know you’re having an email problem. There are many ways to contact us and to send files for printing, including by FTP or through Printstars.com. A simple call to 516-656-3200 will put our IT department on the case, and allow us to find a temporary work-around to make sure your job is done on-time.
- Send us any error headers – Please send us the error jibberish that you get back in the MailerDaemon error response. It may be unintelligible gobbledy-gook, but I’m told that the techies at our host administration office can make sense of it. It should tell us exactly where the error lies, and possibly what to do about it.
Because you can’t email us, you can use an online order form at Printstars.com like this “request a quote” form. It’s easy to use, and you can just copy and paste the info from your email into the job notes section at the end. You may have to register a name and password so the site knows your name, but that will come in handy for the next step anyway. - Send us your work – Printstars.com is a great tool for making sure your job gets to us right away. You get an automated response when your upload is complete, and it can accept very large files. There are also tools to manage reorders, watch the progress of your job through production and communicate with us about updates or proofs.
Follow these steps, call us to ask any questions or inform us about any difficulties and we will be working hard to correct the email problem as soon as we can.
