Happy Halloween!
This Halloween, Sea Cliff Village on Long Island is celebrating in full fall fashion!
As we speak, kids are lining up outside the Sea Cliff Village Children’s Library for a costume parade and contest!
North Shore Schools has a number of things going on, too. Sea Cliff School is also having a parade at 1:30pm, today. At the middle school, they are having a costume contest and parade, and an 8th grade dance at 7PM in the café.
Here’s one worthy of checking out. The United Methodist Church of Sea Cliff has a pumkin patch, open Sundays through Fridays noon to 6:30PM, and Saturdays 10AM-6:30PM. Proceeds will benefit the Navajo Reservation. Nursery and Kindergarten groups are invited to hear stories about native americans and sing pumpkin songs, weekdays 9AM to noon. For group reservations, call 671-0392.
Tomorrow, on Halloween, North Shore High School students are having a car wash in the High School parking lot from 10AM – 3PM as part of a community service day.
The Sea Cliff Fire Department is having a Halloween party at 7PM at the firehouse. Music by Patio Daddyo and cash bar. Admission is $1.00.
Finally, don’t forget to catch “Above the Law”, playing at Partners Bar in Sea Cliff on Halloween night, from 9PM to the witching hour!
Now… for the big night, or wherever you are celebrating, be sure to wear non-flamable costumes and masks with proper vision and ventilation. Obey traffic laws and watch for cars. Only accept candy from strangers that is sealed approved by your parents. Have a safe, and fun night everyone!

Great overall website! Can you tell me how to eliminate spam on mine?

Well, I’m sure there are more sophisticated methods, but for starters, I have the blog set up so that I have to manually approve all comments.
We don’t approve any comments that make no sense, aren’t in English or Spanish, or are obviously computer generated. Comments that may only have been made as an opportunity to post a link may look legitimate, but they get their links stripped.
Word Press also comes with a plugin I use called Askimet that reviews comments for me, and picks off the obvious ones.
I hope that helps you with your site!
